NORDK'S VISION

Promoting and developing relationships and partnerships between different sectors of the rural community in Kosovo through advocacy activities aimed at sustainable rural development.

GEOGRAPHICAL AREA WHERE NORDK IS ACTIVE:

Based on the fact that NORDK is a national network, its activities extend throughout the Republic of Kosovo, with a special focus on rural areas / localities.

The goals of the organization:

Advancing the approach and cooperation between different organizations of similar profile, to exchange ideas, information, and experiences as well as to promote the assistance and organization of activities in the field of rural development;

Promoting rural community development and relations between different sectors of the rural community in Kosovo;

Commitment to promoting better conditions for sustainable development of rural areas, improving the quality of life in them.

NORDK has considerable expertise in:

Advocacy and networking for sustainable rural development;
Integration of youth and women;
Capacity building of women’s and youth associations from rural areas;
Development and promotion of Rural Development Policies;
Promotion of LEADER Access;
Promotion and support of policies for socio-economic development of rural areas.

IN THE MAIN FOCUS OF NORDK ARE: RURAL DEVELOPMENT, INCLUDING AGRO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AS WELL AS A NETWORKING OF RURAL ACTORS / COMMUNITY

TYPES OF ACTIVITIES WHERE NORDK HAS MORE EXPERIENCE:

NORDK as a national network supports activities and implements campaigns especially in: strengthening the ideas of young farmers, strengthening small farmers associations, establishing local organizations in rural areas and supporting partnerships and cooperation with the agribusiness community.

TARGET GROUPS:

The target groups of the NORDK are: community and rural sector actors including: rural residents, youth associations, women’s associations, individuals, active groups, local and central institutions covering the field of rural development.
